Today Husband and I had a small adventure. In a few weeks we will be getting up at 2 in the morning and heading out for an 11 hour plane trip to see family for Christmas. To be on the safe side, we set a course for the airport we were going to fly out of. It is about an hour drive from where we live, it's seems to be a nice small airport that looks like it will be easy to navigate early in the morning.
After finding the airport we set a course for the mall in the area. Where we are currently located there isn't much in the lines of shopping. We have several stores and only one mall that has a very limited amount of enjoyable shops. In that area there is a Toys R Us, Barnes & Noble, Victoria Secrets, and Hot Topic. We had a grand time in Toys R Us. There was a display of wind up toys with space to let the move. Our favorites were a set of robots that did a shimmy type dance, they were too much fun! ^^
I was excited to find a Hot Topic again. I haven't bought a good Hot Topic tee in several months since there isn't one in our area. Thankfully they were having a BOGO 50% off sale, so it was easier for me to buy two shirts. I was kind of sad that they didn't have any Transformers tee shirts, but they had several other genre that I was glad to choose from. Here are what I ended up coming home with.
Tomorrow we get to have a mini adventure. We've been invited over for a lunch with a coworker and her husband after church tomorrow. Where it feels like it's been so long since I've had a good friendship with anyone I am really excited for this relationship to go somewhere. This coworker started at our former place of employment a little after I started. She was expecting this second move, where I wasn't, so once it was determined that I was going to be moving to Oregon with her lab we started interacting a bit more at work and sharing moving advice. Now that we are settled in we have started trying to plan events to hang out more. We invited them on a double date a few weeks ago to see Rise of the Guardians and sharing a dinner out. Tomorrow we go to have a lunch at there home and hanging out. I'm probably more excited than I should be ^_^
