Church had an interesting lesson, that spun some different ideas for me. The preacher has been doing a series about not fearing the end of days since there is so much going on with people and the Mayan apocalypse. What I basically took from it is that we can help speed up the coming of the end of days by helping people repent. I know that this is not the message he was trying to get across but my mind kept telling me So, the world will not end on the 21 because not enough people believe in the glory of God. I know it's a stretch and I know nothing of the end of days as it should be, but it was just one of those lessons that has me cocking my head in some confusion, just because I had never focused on the verses he did in that manner before. I really need to find my good study Bible to take with me so I can follow along with a Bible I am familiar with. stupid moving...
After church Hubby and I headed over to my coworker/friends house. She prepared us a very good dinner of fried steak and veggies :9. It was so good. I was very entertained by one of her cats who had to sit at the table with us and would often paw at her and her husband for a bite of their food. After food we introduced them to Robot Chicken Star Wars and Transformers Prime. I don't know if they found Robot Chicken as funny as we had. Apparently, the wife had not seen any of the SW films, so the husband was saying he didn't want to spoil anything for her. Though, it doesn't really spoil anything. I've only seen SW once in my life and I still find the Robot Chicken special hilarious. But to each their own. I am glad that they seemed to enjoy the first few episodes of Transformers Prime. We love that show and are always telling any former Transformers fan that they need to sit down and try watching it because most of the episodes are well written and the characters are a lot of fun.
We have made future plans to see the Hobbit together when it comes out sometime next weekend. I'm so happy to have a couple that we can make plans with and we both enjoy hanging out with.
The only bad part of today is that hubby is now stuck with constant sneezing. He is allergic to just about every animal, especially cats. With our friends having 3 cats his sinuses are pretty bad. I feel so bad for him.

Date: 2012-12-11 05:21 am (UTC)From:It kills both of us that he is allergic. We are both cat people, and I always had cats when I was young. We have tried taking in strays and adopting, but he would always get very sick and it didn't seem to matter how much medication he was on. Our most recent cat was adopted by his mom, so at least we get to see him when we travel for the holiday. :)
