Not in the bad way, "Oh, I keep waking up and not being able to go back to sleep."

No not that way. I tend to sleep...a lot... on the weekends. My week days are fairly normal, 9-5 or 10-7, but my weekends are a mess. Friday night I can be in bed anytime between 9-11. When Saturday morning rolls around I'm lucking to be out of bed by noon if I don't have to do anything (like going into work like I did today). But then I tend to take a nap around 2. I don't take normal naps. My naps are at minimum 4 hours, sometimes maybe an hour more. So I'm awake about 6, eat dinner and am ready to go back to sleep around 10. Again I sleep until 9 when I need to get up for church. Sunday is often the same and I am back in bed in the afternoon and I able to get myself in bed for the next day.

I'm really tired of sleeping so much. I have so many things I would rather be doing, knitting, drawing, painting, going out and doing stuff. But I honestly don't have the energy. It's like I run out of fuel and can't focus on anything. So I sleep.

I talked to my doctor about this yesterday. He wants to do some blood work, but he also told me "NO NAPS". I thought I was going to pass out earlier today. I had to go in for some work at 9 and go home at 2 and had some lunch. I was ready to fall asleep at the table. Husband had to keep poking at me to make sure I wouldn't take a nap. We eventually settled in to watch a few hours of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I was able to stay awake for that since I didn't have to focus too much, not like knitting or painting. I wasn't very hungry for dinner oddly, I still have 1/4 of my pb&j sandwich that I offered to eat. Now it is 8:50. I'm probably going to try to finish off the sandwich because I haven't eaten much and head to bed with in the next half hour.

I really do want to get past this, but it seem so hard. I know many have issues of insomnia or waking up at odd hours. I don't think I've ever been able to get myself to stay up all night for any reason without some serious help (energy drinks) and not suffered the next day by sleeping the entirety or having a sever headache. I did have one spell where I would wake up at 3 in the morning and not be able to get back to sleep, but that lasted about a week and I resumed to my normal sleeping habits.

I want my weekends back.
